Well-meant offer of the Gospel...

I don't know why Phil Johnson wants to open up the can of worms called "the well-meant offer of the Gospel". Anyway, he has done it in his blog here, again. I have commented on this issue before (which can be found from a compiled article) here (Scroll down until you come to the relevant topic), and I have replied to Phl Johnson and co. over on his blog on this topic now. The main point I want to make is actually very simple:

There is a BIG difference between God wanting compliance with His commands (including the command to repent) and God wanting all people to be saved (well-meant offer of the Gospel). Very big!
